I've heard of composers writing scores for games or films in two weeks, but four days?! That's crazy. My information was secondary source at best. I can't remember if it was quoted from liner notes or the result of someone's ROM spelunking, but I heard that daioujou and ESPGaluda (not Namiki, but st...

Only speculation: maybe because Namiki tends to work in a MOD-like format but Kusunoki worked to straight PCM audio? The savings of file size vs. sound quality might have been argument enough.

Ahh! So indeed it was Raizing he was working for. I wonder which of their shooters he worked for. Brave Blade perhaps? It was Great Mahou Daisakusen (his name appears in the staff scroll so his reluctance to admit this is strange). In earlier drafts Paul had a note about that, but it didn't make th...

Thanks for the video. or too shit quality. What must be done must be done. The video should reasonably show what you're doing, but it doesn't have to capture all of the game's visual splendor. Uploaded here are two reencoded examples: one Xvid and one Microsoft MPEG4 v1, both targetting 500 kbps. MP...

Do you have access to any orange, apple, or pineapple juice there? It seems like I've tried concord grape juice on a sore throat, but can't remember how it turned out. I think it did eventually do the trick, but the others are safer bets.

I already got that one. :P

Yeah, but can you make women orgasm with your mind?

'Cause if you can, then you should set up a novelty band in which you play popular tunes using the sounds of climaxing women. Performed live.

Lesson learned on another credit: never pick up a green potion (super-inflation mode) when you've triggered bills. When the green potion wears out, the floor advances without dropping the bills. Yellow, blue, and red potions can be grabbed without incident.

If we're playing in MAME, I assume we just use the default settings? The defaults in MAME should be accurate. Factory defaults for Japanese version: difficulty setting B [normal]; 3 lives at start; extend at 100,000 points only. (all physical DIPS set to OFF position) score up! inc - 669,490 - 16

BioShock takes place in an underwater art deco dystopia called Rapture. It is kill or be killed and was supposed to revolutionize first person shooters before several features got cut. This is the latest game from the studio formerly known as Irrational Games (now 2K Boston and 2K ... wherever the A...

Iced tea is very popular in the southeastern United States (hi!), but it tends to be steeped with a lot of sugar in South Carolina and Georgia. I expect this is also the case in Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi; but it's been ages since I've had tea in those states. I recall North Carolina as bein...

I don't think a full translation is necessary. His response sounds similar to the one given in the Arcadia pow-wow.

I'd link to it for the uninformed, but I don't have the requisite post count :)
