i asked and apparently Nintendo are planning to run this and the 3DS side by side (even tho they kinda compete for the same market).. something the nordic supplier also admitted to being pretty strange.. I dont think nintendo are out of the hardware buisness but i reckon the switch and the 3DS will ...

pretty sure there was a special memroycard device (action replay?) for ps1 that allowed trasnfers to and from computers.. i also know there were sometimes discs along with magazines where you could download saves for games onto the memorycard.. ..this is all from 20 years ago.. not sure how this wou...

have you played Gun Hazard? fairly short and linear and not terribly challenging but very good while it lasts.. i'd highly recommend it.

sometimes its nice to play thru a game once and be done and satisfied with it aswell..

how complete is r-gear? would love to upgrade my STG pcb aswell, actually like this game for some reason its just not very exciting as-is.. very cool finds, you must have worked relentlessly on this to come so far, i know big money doesnt do it for some of these or else we would have seen them long ...

very un-japanesey but you said you like monkey island so... broken sword 1 & 2 are great, proboably available on psn aswell.

if you dont mind impossibly hard puzzles and goofy humor, discworld and blazing dragons (both ps1) are both worth a playthrough aswell.
