It isn't too surprising that Nintendo wouldn't embrace the idea, considering they have already proven they can sell their old games for the same price as a brand new GBA game to gullib... I mean loyal fans.

This game is basically a fanfiction, only it actually got turned into a video game. Still even the most jaded gamer would probably have a slight interest in it. Dig Dug's redesign looks like crap though.

It makes me sad how much the Namco Museum series has stagnated since the PSX era. I love Paman, Galaga, and Dig Dug as much as the next guy, but do we need them rereleased over and over and over again on every platform? Namco has such a large library of arcade games to choose from, that there's plen...

I think that's pretty neat actually. That's something I wish remakes would do more often. Include the original game in there somewhere. Would give curious people an opportunity to see the game in its original form, that they weren't able to experience before. And it won't feel like a remake is "repl...

I see that once again like Mario Kart Super Circuit for GBA, you can play multiplayer with one cart. But you all have to be Yoshi, again like Mario Kart GBA. This is one of the more interesting remakes I've seen, though I think the choice to make Yoshi the main hero was a bizarre one. I also hope at...

For the Famicom there's the original Fire Emblem and Just Breed. Outside of those I can't really think of any strategy RPGs on that system. Most of the strategy games are more war type grid based games, like Famicom Wars and Conflict.

Hmm. I'm assuming Persona is probably going to be a port of the first PSX game. Looks like the PSP is already going to be full of PSX ports, much like the GBA was full of SFC ports. If Atlus released that in the US, maybe they would actually bother to translate the snow queen subquest this time arou...

One obscure PSX game my brother and I liked was Konami's Poy Poy. Which was called Pointer's Point in Japan. Its a 4 player action game where you control different characters in an arena, and pick up assorted objects lying around and attack the other players with them. Its funner than it sounds. The...

Tetris Attack is called Panel de Peon in Japan I think. Another classic Western name change was Konami's Green Berret. Changed to the not so subtle title "Rush n Attack".

Knightmare 2 hasn't been mention. not sure about 3 as I never got far enough into it. From what I played of it, Knightmare 3 seems to be an RPG, instead of a Metroidish game. I couldn't figure out how to play it though, and ended up just wandering around aimlessly. Never got into a fight, so don't ...

There's Goonies 2, and Rygar for Nes. Tails' Adventures on Game Gear. (I think that got released in the US.) Legacy of the Wizard is sort of Metroidish. (Nes) You could argue that overhead adventure games like Zelda, Guardian Legend, and Golden Axe Warrior (Sega Master System) are also Metroidish, s...

I remember the shooting stages as being pretty tough in Valken. Problem with them is that I always thought your mech was too big of a target. Otherwise the game isn't too bad difficulty wise, at least not compared to Leynos. Now Leynos is a game that requires a lot of patience.

I wouldn't mind getting that slime game for the GBA as well. Anyway VIII certainly looks really nice from those screenshots. I hope Square Enix releases this in the US. I'm already very annoyed that they have no plans for the DQ V remake to be released here.
