You all forgot the Sofmap on the back street and the Amusement Sofmap a couple of doors down from Messe Sanoh. What cool is about Messe Sanoh is that sometimes have the extra items on their discounted games! I got the figure when I bought Metalgun Slinger for the GBA! (it was only 2000 Yen new!) Aso...

I wouldn't throw a 40" over on it's side either. I've got a 26" and that's painful enough. I'm not taking it w/ me when I move, so I've got to figure out a good solution for my gaming TV when I get to Hawaii. At my last job, I had a 20" LCD monitor on a swivel that I could throw on it's side. Why n...

It would make a better Simple 2000 game. Seriously.

I'm kind of out on the weekdays, I never get enough time as I finish work at 18:00. Usually once a week I can make it out there by 18:30, but that's still not much time. I'm kind of a weekend warrior in that sense. Me too. Unfortunately, my weekend isn't always Saturday & Sunday. :( I'll try to...

Last time I checked, they were side-ways, only showing their spine (kinda stupid idea for such key items). :) You heading out there anytime soon? Perhaps we could pull it off at T2.
Monday is the soonest I can go. :(

I'll need 100,000 yen to get scans. A picture... possible, but hard. The picture eight_one took was from Trader1... Saturn section is in the back of the store. Trader2 is much smaller (but more floors). The Saturn section is right in front of the cash register. :( You gotta double team to do it. On...

Intentional suicides are actually encouraged (from seeing some of the experts) to keep the game rank down. Border Down isn't anywhere as complex as BG. It actually says that in the Border Down manual. :P Ohohohohohoho.... that's what it said. Silly me for not picking that up. Something you will not...

eight_one: Yeah, I read somewhere (here maybe?) about the mechanics of the game. I do like new ideas in shmups. Border Down has a system that I think is similar to Battle Garegga -- the longer you go without dying, the harder the game gets. That seems to piss a lot of people off. :) It's a lot deep...

Delisoba is now 68K at Trader 1. It's now harder (if not impossible) to get pics since they moved things around at 1. The Saturn games are in the corner, but can be right in the line-of-sight of the register.

Well, any game that HAS tate mode is no doubt going to look better (at least bigger) in that mode. Just seems to be the original way they intended it. I've never been a fan of the WWII-esque shooters, so I've yet to try out Battle Garegga, although I have picked it up, and will give it a shot soon....

Saturday? Sunday? I'm sure I can squeeze in time either way. Just LMK what's better for you, and where/when you want to meet. What part of town will you be coming from? Is there a big VF layout there? I would imagine the VF:Evo scene in the Sega arcade would be better though. Well, I'll definitely ...

Is Hey Amusement center owned by Taito? It's relatively new, right? I saw a multifloor game place last time I was there, but it was after work, which means I had like 60 minutes to hit the shops. I toyed w/ the idea of going in, but didn't. You should of. Better variety than Club Sega. Yep, Taito d...
