Re: Slightly Off Topic: Descent Underground

I remember when I was in in 6th grade back in 1995 when I was new to this school there was this kid on windows 95 playing Descent. I never got around to playing it myself but when I got the PS1 later that year there was a clip of descent on the demo disc that was included on the PS1 when you bought ...

Re: [PS4] ASSAULT SUIT LEYNOS

It would have been better to see a complete remaster collection or remake collection of all the games.

Re: The emulation thread...

I'm currently using the Retron 5 for all my game cart emulation. It really makes up for the price gap if I were to buy an original HDMI converted NES. By about 400 dollars or so. It's just not worth it to buy an NES for that much when you can get a Retron for a fraction of the cost and get just abou...

Re: The Official WTF are YOU playing right now thread

I was playing the Evil within but I pretty much completed it already. Got the platinum and everything. A great game. Still playing MGSV as well. I haven't beaten it yet. I kind of wish it had more story.

Re: [FC][SMD] How to tell if a game is a reproduction?

I have no idea to tell about Famicom reproductions. I don't think your copy of Akumajo is a repro though. If it is, that's a very high quality repro. As far as I am aware, I have never seen a Konami famicom cart repro. The style they used was somewhat unique, as the carts seem to have that hole in t...

Yeah Gaijin there are some sheisty shmucks on ebay man. So basically I tell the guy I shipped it out priority and I gave him a track...

Sadly I have been a bit of a recluse to games lately. I sold a majority of my collection due to concerns with the economy. I sure miss those games and have since invested elsewhere. I'm still hoping for some great new games to come out but I have no idea what's on the agenda in the japanese industry...

Was Mortal Kombat ever popular in Japan?

Just wondering since it was a US game if it was ever popular or sold well in the Japanese market.

Not exactly a game I mispronounced but a name of a character. Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat. We kids used to argue over whether it was pronounced Te-sung or Sung. Old times.

I've been playing Daimakaimura on my PS3 lately . It's frustratingly difficult and is up there with Battletoads in terms of difficulty. Also been playing Scott Pilgrim versus the world. I had no idea it was popular when I played it, it was just fun to play so I bought it.

Saga Frontier, Wild Arms, Suikoden, etc. I can go on but you get the point. Has the japanese video games industry become poor or is it a lack of acceptance of individual companies being marketed to mainstream audiences? I just remember the time when it seemed like every month or two amazing games we...

The current state of Japanese video games. inquisitive rant

Is it just me or has the Japanese video game industry become stagnant? I remember a time when there were an abundance of quality games coming out of Japan and to the states. It seems to me that Japanese devs have lost their creative process and opted in return for dishing out mediocre titles. There ...

Yeah, PAL-only so far. I can't blame them since they seem to appreciate the Musou games a lot more than the US folks do. Probably because Musou games are boring. I've only ever played them temporarily and I was bored while playing them. Also, Basara games are decent compared to the musou games I pl...

Hokuto No Ken on the PS2/Atomiswave was badass. I still wonder why it wasn't released in North America. Yet, they are going to release Musou over here. Makes no sense.
