Re: Documentary on the Japanese Game Preservation Society

Interesting documentary. Thanks for providing the link!

I’m wondering if the Galactic War 1 tape by Falcom that Joseph presents at the end of the documentary and that he spent 15 years looking for is the same that Beep in Akihabara is selling for 450,000 Yen at the moment?

Re: Japanese developed games not physically released in Japan

Impressive list! You already mentioned quite a number of wrestling games but

Re: The emulation thread...

A few huge Gamest fans created a very detailed list of games covered by the magazine over the years, including ads.

They mention the original Ninja Gaiden here:

But there’s no other game listed under that name.

Re: Thread of Adventure

If you enjoy investigation games, you could try the Missing Parts series. It was released on Dreamcast, PS2, and PSP.

Nanatsu kaze no shima no monogatari for Saturn has a pretty unique art style but the game does involve a lot of backtracking.

Re: Keeping up with arcade releases

All of the action is happening in China these days, there are tons of titles which people haven't heard of. Can you give us some recommendations? I remember someone here mentioned the Contra remake by Konami of China before. Apart from this one, I never read anything about recent arcade games from ...

I suppose you're not referring to the strategy game Sangokushi taisen 3, produced by Sega and published by IGS in China?
