Re: [XBLA/PSN] Jet Set Radio

It's supposed to be an okay port apart from the fact that it stutters every few minutes on some consoles (but not all). Hopefully they'll be releasing a patch for it. Was thinking of getting day 1, but ehh, will wait for the inevitable end of the year sale. 30 FPS with drops, Dreamcast quality sound...

It's not.

Real widescreen, 720p. Apart from the blocky textures, it looks great

Re: Critique a control panel button layout designed for STGs

Some service menus use the service button to go through the menu options, so it's worthwhile having there.

I recently bought this as well and credit fed through it. Fun game. Visually it's a lot like Battletoads. The backgrounds are very nice as is all the animation. The only thing that lets it down is that it's a bit samey. It could have used a bit more variety. It's all very Aliens It plays a like the ...

I think the differences in prices come from the fact that there's a boat load of different ways to RGB mod a PCE. You can just tap the RGB signal and feed it to monitor, which will most likely give you a washed out picture or no picture at all, or you can add an amp, which can be either simple or a ...

Every Extend Extra is my favorite title on the system, but then again I value style more than most. If you can see Rez as something more than just rail-shooter, you'll be a fan of EEE. Loco Roco is absolutely charming. If you love SFC platformers, this should be right up your alley. Gokumakaimura Ka...

What ave suggested works. However, there's a small niggle. With Sony's own firmware, you cannot play videos that are in native resolution (470 x 272). This was done to encourage people to buy UMDs (which worked really well as we all know). You can still stretch to fit the screen, but it can get mess...

What's peculiar, though, is while Byulbram is still MIA, Blood Cross actually resurfaced just a few weeks ago. Screenshots of the game and a short description of it can be found in an promotional ad for the new F-200 model of the GP2X ( link ; last image). There's a video of it now on Youtube. The ...

When Jet Set Radio was released in the west, Smilebit added a few new levels and some western music to it (Rob Zombie, Jurassic 5). This "updated" version was then rereleased in Japan as De La Jet Set Radio. I really should go back to JSR sometime soon. Definitely one of my favorite games ...

For me, Out Run 2 was the last game that had that Sega feel to it.

Sega Race TV on the other hand looks like some sad attempt at emulating Burnout, which is a great shame.

(sorry, haven't really seen Revo to make an opinion on it)

This is something that's always made me wonder. Can Puyo really be considered a clone of Tetris? I'm not all that clued up on puzzle game history, but Tetris and Puyo seem to be a world apart from each other.
