Re: Neo-Geo Thread

I keep bumping into STV recently - there seems to be a few other regular guys with the lists and full shopping baskets recently too.

I guess that low yen is opening doors for someone, thanks Abenomics !

Re: The Official WTF are YOU playing right now thread

My youngest button mashed my ps4 controller to a Shadow Of Mordor digital purchase. A game that i had absolutely no knowledge of and absolutely no interest in playing as it looked like it was going to be another mildly musou-style roaming killing dull enemy "quick 3rd tier" game. Well, i g...

Re: PlayStation - Odo Odo Oddity

I had Odo Odo Oddity - it was pretty poor. Somewhat surprised to see it get such an hyperbolic write up.

Actually - i might still have the game disk - way way back i chucked out a load of games cases for games i though were worth anything and kept the disks.... oops (?)

How do the emulators run now? I have a phat model. I guess there's a few arcade games I wouldn't mind getting to run. My firmware is WAY old. Maybe I'll look up an idiots guide. I'm going for a wedding next month. Should be fun, actually. the SNES emu is still slow, but most everything else runs fi...

Wii U - looks like the end of Nintendo as we know it, stock dropped like a rock the day and day after the announcement but I'll buy it in the aftermath of it all it's like they don't know themselves what they are doing. Afterwards i thought "well, i guess you could all sit around the main TV a...

Yup - it's getting harder to find but it got a Japanese release. It's going for around 3980 yen in my local Chemelon Club. Another +1 for Lilo and Stitch and will throw my hat in for Sound Voyager - robs you off visual clues but you end up playing the 5 mini games whilst not looking at the screen at...

okay - for HL ep 1 - don't let the disappointment put you off HL2 ep 2. ep1 is basically "good" which is pretty below par for Half Life, but Ep 2 is great. For Portal 1 i think my favourite quotes were the "<subject name here>" ones - hearing Glados lose it and become what she di...

I'd play Portal 1 first whilst you can play Portal 2 and still enjoy it , it'll be a much more meaningful experience after Portal 1. You can swipe Portal 1 away in around 2 hrs 30 (if you are good) to 5hrs Portal 2 is around 6 to 8 depending on how stuck you get. Seriously - Portal 2 evolves out of ...

one of the most frustrating things with Nintendo since the DS has been "but we can't just have the same gaming experiences! Gamers won't buy it! We need to do something different!" Which, well, i don't 100% agree with but hey - i see that offereing a new experience IS at least worth a look...

N64 UK game prices were fantastic! Keeping in the "64" spirit, the games were all.... 64.99 GBP around launch! Except Turok which was a pocket fisting 79.99 GBP. So.. in today's GBP->$ rate that's $104 to $128 a game... fucking PAL too. I am glad i was a student at the time and hence a fil...
