Re: Thread of Adventure

Thanks for the recommendations, lots of stuff for me to check out.

I'm also looking forward to Makoto Asada's (5pb/mages) upcoming game Mystereet F 2, for the Xbox One, which is said to be a detective-type adventure game. Instant Brain was excellent, and I am hoping this will be of similar quality.

No, but I did some googling just now and this one looks really cool. Thanks!

Thread of Adventure

I'm interested in any recommended Adventure games, specifically those similar to the old point-and-click adventures. I've recently played through the Monkey Island PC games (XBLA versions), the first Phoenix Wright, and Dangan Ronpa, and I enjoyed all of them, so I'm looking for similar Japanese gam...

Hey GP, maybe I'll catch you in San Fran some day. I pass through there every year or so. Good luck on the move!

I still visit forums every now and then, but rarely post anywhere. I really enjoyed your Burning Man pics by the way.

There is a new $300 Mario/Luigi 32GB bundle:

Looks like that site is currently sold out, but hunt around online and I am sure you will be able to find one.

Re: [AC] DoDonPachi Sai-Dai-Ou-Jou

Where did you get this info? I'll have to track down the source, but I definitely read that description in an article from a while ago. They didn't actually say that score won't matter, though it seems a given if the whole point of the mode is to hunt for achievement-like things with your friends (...

Re: [AC] DoDonPachi Sai-Dai-Ou-Jou

arrange mode where score doesn't matter and you grind for emblems and shit. Will be Cave's first vertizontal STG. Where did you get this info? Anyway, Cave arrange modes are almost always crapola. You buy the port for, you know, the port . If the arrange is really good, then GET BONUS. Otherwise, j...

Get a kindle or Nook (I prefer the latter). You can download tons of books for cheap or free, and they take up no space.

Re: [XBLA/PSN] Jet Set Radio

Sony won't accept any of my credit cards on either my US or JP PSN accounts. I emailed them numerous times, tried each card numerous times. None of them work. It's the dumbest thing ever (I hear it's a common problem), I would have bought way more on PSN if I could use my CC, but since I'm forced to...

The 20-30k yen denshi jishos have over 100 dictionaries, including those two. So it's a good investment imo.

I love my Casio EX-Word. I actually have two of them now, I have a Dataplus 4 from 2 years ago, and I got the new Dataplus 6 XD-D10000 a few weeks back, it was about 48,000 yen. It has 170 dictionaries, a color touch screen, voice for many words, and so on. The accent dictionary with full voice is e...

Re: [Wii] Zelda: Skyward Sword

I had the JP version on preorder for weeks, but I was skeptical of the motion controls. I recently read a few reviews about how they suck. I also read that the game is full of pointless filler. So, I cancelled that preorder. It's a shame how motion controls are forced on people and often ruin Wii ga...

There is an older thread here , but it was so mucked up with off topic stuff and so out of date, I hope you don't mind me opening a new one. Anyway, the psp is one of my favorite systems, and my favorite handheld by far. Here are some of my favorite games: Tengai Makyou IV (great improvement over th...

Yep, Nintendo is doomed. I think they will end up like Sega within the next decade, after the inevitable failure of the Wii U. And I think that will be a good thing as I'll actually get to play games they've developed on good hardware, without all the crappy, forced gimmicks.
