Tatsujin Oh has only 6 stages, but it takes a whole hour to beat them all. The very long stages put a lot of people off, but you come to appreciate the game once you get used to it.

You should try beating Outzone at some point. It's awesome and not that hard.

In general recovering isn't hard; in fact the most deadly checkpoints (where it's game over if you die) are actually located in stages 2 and 3 (towards the end where the green ships swarm you and after the midboss, respectively). If you know what's coming it isn't hard to recover in stage 5. No idea...

Out of curiousity, how long did Dogyuun take? I played it a lot a couple of months ago but was frustrated by the fluctuating bullet speed; everytime I would no-miss far enough it would get so brutal as to make me rethink my strategies for each section that I had gotten through before when the rank ...

Working on Tatsujin Oh right now...33 hours in so far, can get halfway through stage 5. I predict at least another 30 hours before I can beat the loop.

Yesterday I saw a replay at MARP where the player scores 1059 points in this game. In general he played just like I did in my replay, with one exception: he always tried to drop enemies in holes, water etc, so that must give you more points.

As far as I know, the clock starts when you enter the game, and stops when you hit ESC. Whatever you do in-game doesn't affect it at all. 6 hours sounds about right. Normally you have the feeling you spent much more time than you really did. What's next on your list? 1st loop of Dogyuun :) I'll try ...

Yeah, beat it by 200k points. During STGT we had to play again and I broke my previous record by 100k more. Then sikraiken comes in with a 6 million score and claiming to have played for only 2 days. Wtf? Either way, after 50 hours I'm just sick of it. Dunno how the japanese can spend over 1500 hour...

Put the mouse over Description, click the right mouse button and choose Customize fields. Re-arrange all the fields as you see fit. This is what mine looks like: http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/9691/mame.png Shit... is this really that hard? I was playing for score from the start, as I wanted to ...

I'm pretty sure you don't lose a life if you touch enemies in the MD version too. It's weird that the arcade version has no bosses. The MD version has plenty of them (one for every even-numbered stage IIRC). The robot from stage 2 pissed me off to no end. -- Regarding the thread, unless you're playi...

Today I went to the arcades and saw someone playing KOF Special Edition 2004 (a hack of KOF 2002). Familiar background, anyone?

Ruldra - ALL - Trix - 1007 It's important to note that this score is only possible on the US version, as there are 2 more stages (you go back and play the stages you skipped previously). Replay is on youtube (can't post link yet - search for "revenge death adder universe"). A very cheap ta...

I can't post proofpic because of low postcount, so that'll do:

Ruldra - Wolf - ALL - 1,474,061

I got the bad ending on this run, so I went back and cleared the game with Roger, but I got the bad ending again.

My guess is that you only get the good ending if you use more than 1 credit.
