Well i took apart the AV7000 today to take a peek. It sadly doesn't have any color adjustment pots built in. Meaning I'd have to add resistors to the RGB lines. But that's way too much work, so fuck it, I'll just buy a jrok and connect it to the harness as it will give me the pots. Also will add com...

I meant that I used the brightness knob on the AV7000 and the TV control. Even by turning down both of them as low as I can, the colors are still way too strong. :(

Yeah it was simply listed as "VFRQ" on the list. Oh, any way to turn down the color strength on the AV7000? I found a Breezasoft Crystal System w/ Crystal of Kings in a local recycle shop of all places. However the colors are way too strong. I messed with the brightness control, voltage, a...

I messed with the voltage, turned it fully in both directions. No effect at all on the rolling image. It just won't sync. :( And again it works fine on the Panasonic so there must be something the TV doesn't like about about Xexex's signal. When in 750p or 1125i modes, the TV letterboxes itself to g...

Well all I know of this TV is listed here: http://www.sony.jp/CorporateCruise/Press/200106/01-0627/ My other boards all look beautiful through the AV-Multi, that's all I really know. Xexex gets the sync problem and I've tried with RGB, S-Vid, and Composite. Haven't messed with the screw yet, I don't...

Splatterhouse was 38,000 from Mak. Pricey, but it's a childhood favorite and high on my wanted list. Originally I was going to buy the Marty version, but considering what a good working Marty and the game costs, its cheaper just to buy the pcb. Getting to Tokyo by Shinkansen costs me 22,000 round tr...

Ok, got everything a few days ago. Sadly I went on the wrong day though, and couldn't visit Try as it was closed. But Mak and GFront were enough. So I ended up with 5 boards: Splatterhouse, Salamander 2, Xexex, Bubble Memories, Puzzle Bobble 2X. And I'm having a great time. :) One issue though, Xexe...

thanks for the info. Anyone know how to make Mak's stock list work? When I load it in Acrobat, I just get blank pages. I've updated it, I have Japanese fonts and code setup, but still nothing.

Getting a supergun, need advice.

So I'm finally gonna make the jump and get some PCBs. Since I'm lazy and money isn't really an issue, I'll just go to Mak and pickup one there. So, there's the Board Master, Raijin, and AV7000. So which is the recommended version? Is there a difference between the BM and Raijin other then the blast ...

akiba holiday sales?

So I've got a few weeks off for New Years. Might stop in to akiba for some shopping while I wander around the country. Any special New Year's sales at shops? I remember Trader II having some nice deals during New Years, but this was 4 years ago. :) Any recommended days?

Well, it gets harder every loop. The random enemies spawn faster and faster. The game really gets fun at about loop 5. But sadly nothing else changes so it gets quite boring playing to that point. :P

Is your SuperGrafx switched to "SuperGrafx Mode?" On the back of the console (left of the CD-ROM expansion port) is a very small switch labeled "I and II". "I" is SuperGrafx mode, and is needed for SuperGrafx games. "II" disables the extra hardware and makes i...

Thanks for the links! But I'm confused by the 2nd one. Is that metal box for connecting D-Terminal to RGB? What's the point of that? My TV has 2 D4 Terminals, so what could I use the box for?. I can only read about half of what's there. :cry:

Only modding I've ever done is with a Saturn modchip. Got a link to a guide? Maybe I'll give it a try if I can find a solder iron here. What stores in Japan carry this kind of stuff anyway? Locally the only place I've got is a Joshins and I doubt they carry irons.

21pinRGB-->AV-Multi??

So I have a beautiful 29'' Trintron. I have the PS2 hooked up in RGB mode with an official Playstation AV-Multi Cable. Are there any adapter boxes out there so I could hook up the retro stuff to it with ease?

Where did you buy the Metal Slug? The Kyoto branch of A-Too. Isn't that next to the southern big Kawaramachi crossing near the centre? I think I recall finding it as A-Too on the map but the sign was from the Famicom Shop franchise. Anyway, if that was the shop, how did you manage to buy a Metal Sl...
