I'll always remember the day I bought my Metal Slug AES cart. The part-timer behind the counter rang it up like nothing special. Then the price came up and his eyes totally blew out of his head. He then thought the machine was broken and called the manager to price check it. I just stood there with ...

DVD? Those are LD's dude. ;) I've started buying LD's myself just because they are so cheap. The high-end LD players still cost a fortune though. :(

Yes, one of the best RPGs out there. It was so good that I played through enough times to get every girls' ending. And I did a true play-through every time (no M2 accessorys). Can't believe this game is already 10 years old.... where did my life go? O_O Growlanser IV was also a solid game, once you ...

[PSP] Growlanser Remake

Well, it finally happened. Growlanser 1 comes to PSP. Looks like they added new characters, so its not just a straight port. Guess I might finally have to buy me a PSP just for my CareerSoft Collection...

Metal Slug 1 had a nifty scoring trick with the tank's shells at least. Too bad none of the sequals had it.

Still 1, 2, 3 are just fun to play around with. X is good for 2-players, but I find 2 to be the superior game. 4 and after don't exist to me.

Just rented SST3. Its much better then part 2. It's really over the top, and super-chessy, but if you liked the original, you'll enjoy this one.

I'm in Shiga Prefecture, so not many "hot places" to go. Kyoto's close, but it's quite tame. There was one night though that I was in a bar, a really hot J-girl came up to me, fed me drinks and came back to my apartment. Next morning I found out she was 45, married, and had 2 children (one...

Hmm any good bars out there where rich mid-30's Japanese women try to pickup young stupid gaijin men? Probably none sadly. I must say though I find the 28-36 range of to be the best for Japanese women myself. ;)

So lately have been playing a lot of Miraculum, and I'm really enjoying it. Also have Startling Odyssey 1 and 2 on PCE. Anyone played Star Breaker? Or how about the PS1 Startling Odyssey remake? Worth playing? Their games all seem to be quite good, but they haven't appeared to make much by their web...

I'm really enjoying Gundam: Operation Troy. It has a few flaws, but the multiplayer is really good if you play with a group of people who work togheather as a team. The single-player game sucks though, so only get it if you like multiplayer games. The Idolm@ster - Certainly not for everyone, but a f...

Souky is an easy clear if you control the rank. Meaning dodge those powerups! If you don't control the rank it gets extremely punishing towards the end. The style and pacing of the game are quite cool though, fun game. I like Kingdom Grand Prix (Saturn one is the only version I've played). The racin...

Been in Japan about 2 years now. I went home over Christmas, it was nice to see the family, but after a week I was ready to leave. Going back to the US it felt so weird being able to 100% understand what EVERYONE was saying. Everywhere seemed so loud. Ignorance is truly bliss sometimes. ;)

From the video this game has way too many menus to dive through. Just not my thing. If you want an awesome sprite filled H-game, get Dual Savior Justice. The gameplay is fantastic. Theres also a porn-free PS2 version as well, but I haven't played it. http://www.web-giga.com/duelsavior/duelsavior.htm...

Need more First Person JRPGs

Don't know why, but I've always really enjoyed a good first person dungeon crawl. I loved playing Ultima Underworld back in the day, but I really prefer the Japanese made games, especially those with turn based battle systems. I've played: Shining in the Darkness Shining the Holy Ark Dragon Knight I...

If I'm reading this right, this seller claims this is a genuine copy of the never released Space Fantasy Zone. http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f61765966 Too bad this "genuine" is just a bootleg made by the guy responisble for the bootleg Sapphires. http://sapphire.anime4ever.d...

Personally I hope we never see a Lunar 3. Lunar 2 pretty much ends most of everything. Sure a prequal that seals the fate of the Blue Star could be interesting. But GameArts more recent games have been rather disappointing. Plus as a crazy Iwardare fan, I must say all his game works after Growlanser...

I have to agree with Ganelon, Lunar+Lunar II are much more enjoyable games then Grandia. The Lunar battle system is a bit slow by today's standards, but the characters are some of the best ever in my opinion. I replay them once a year (I rotate between the SCD/Sat/PS1 versions). Growlanser was anoth...

Yeah you pick her club, direction, and amount of power. How well the shot actually goes depends on her training (which is up to you). Its a unique concept and its a lot more entertaining then the traditional golf. But I also said this game isn't for everyone. There is also a standard golf mode wher...

Go! Go! Birdie Chance - This one certainly won't please everyone but in my opinion this is the greatest golf game ever made. In story mode you are the coach, you train your girl (similar to other girl-training sims), but the cool part is how it really affects her golf game. As in, you tell her wher...
