Well after about 2 months. K-Opti has finally installed my internet. Now its time to hook up the 360 and start playing The IdolM@ster online. The game is quite addictive and I've been playing it offline since it came out, usually online games aren't my thing, but this game and Senko No Ronde Rev X a...

My first trip to Akihabara.

I currently work in Shiga-ken. So for the New Years's holiday I decided to check out Tokyo for the first time and naturally go game shopping. Saturn game prices seem to be going down quite a bit. I found several copies of Astra Superstars for about $120-150 US. Also saw a complete Taromaru for a mer...

Flight-Plan's really starting to piss me off to be honest. They keep making new stuff and useless filler. Can't they just finish the Black/Matrix series already? The plot still has huge holes in it, and its actually a really good plot unlike Summon Night's never ending "episode of the week" hodgepod...

Compleated my first play-through and here's my thoughts. As most of you already know, the graphics aren't good. The 3D models have both low polygon counts, and more jaggies then some PS1 games. However for the record they are really well detailed, and the models actually have pretty much all the dec...

Theres nothing wrong with playing NIS games if you can enjoy them. However every new game they release introduces new gimmicks and new problems without ever fixing that same old broken battle system. Just not worth the time in my opinion.

I can confirm that you are correct GP. Actually thats a good point, the Saturn original is much cleaner looking then the DC version. The DC's cutscenes are high-res, but the animation quality itself is a bit choppy and censored, meaning people bleed milk in them. Odd thing is that ingame blood is st...

B/M Z and OO stars Cain and follows the events that lead up to the war where the Devils are the victors. Also explains the true past of Abel. B/M, B/M AD, and B/M Cross star Abel but he has no memories of who he is. Game takes place after the war, and the Devils rule the world. B/M II takes place af...

I've compleated it once, and it was quite good. I really need to play it again too cause I got the super freaky ending, and it had me looking over my shoulder for a week. Anyway I'll add that this game requires a very high amount of Japanese to fully understand. The Pain Ring System is absurdly comp...

Oh common Pancakes, you know you LOVE fighting 50 zillion battles with random maps for the sole purpose of raising the level of a 1 time use healing item. Plus during this trip you'll get other healing items that you can then do the exact same cycle with. The only possible way to have more fun would...

Maybe I misread your post, but it sounds like your set only has the KoF'95 ROM cart which has actual game data on it and is mandatory to play KoF'95. The set should have also came with a standard 1mb RAM cart that is required by '96 and '97.

Well its still too early to give a real judgement on it, but I'm guessing its going to be quite long. I've already put in about 10 hours and I just started the 2nd role. Whats notable here is that I still have yet to actually acquire the real main character. The game is really growing on me though, ...

Growlanser V - Horrible 3D models on 2D prerendered backgrounds equals UGLY. Also the system feels a bit wacky and is clumsy at best. But after a few hours, I liked the characters and story enough that I've gotten used to the problems and now I'm starting to really enjoy it. Certainly not what I was...

Famitsu scores: 7, 6, 6, 6 for what they're worth. I stopped trusting Famitsu ratings years ago myself, but may as well post them.

I may be mistaken as I do not have it, but I distinctively remember that the PS version of Dodonpachi forces player 1 and 2 to use the exact same ship type due to RAM limitations. And as a person that regularly plays 2-player shooters, I find that unacceptable. Granted it won't effect normal solo pl...

Galaxy Angel II. Highly recommended for fans of this type of game. I picked up GAII in Japan last week, I'm glad to hear it's a great game. I've only had time to watch the opening. Have you played the original GA port on the JP Xbox? It's very hard to find nowadays, but far superior to the PS2 port...

Galaxy Angel II. It came in the mail at about 10am on Monday (I work weekends). I started playing it and simply could not stop. Finished my first play at about midnight on Tuesday. Yes I played it almost non-stop for 2 days, the game was incredible. I have always enjoyed the first 3 GA games and use...

I'm just hoping they stick with the ToD2 battle system meaning SP, Extensions, extreme difficulty, and even the zoning rules all need to finally return. :D The previous Tales games were total jokes in difficulty compared to ToD2.

I am looking foreward to ToD Remake, but I could care less about the rest. There have been way too many Tales games over the last couple of years, and now we get yet another port/remake of Phantasia? Market Saturation is the key phrase here, I just can't care about a new Tales game, when I know they...

I saw some screens for this one over at the magic box and it looks 100% identical to Rebirth Moon, which was absolutely terrible and not even worth the $20 I made the mistake of spending on it. :?

I know someone that has the PC original and yes it is a true hentai game in every sense of the word, however it had no voice. Personally Leaf/Aquaplus is a company whose games simply never appealed to me, and I've played a LOT of these style games (both H and non-H). However Flight-Plan is a company...

Yeah I kind of typed that rather quickly. And as several of you assumed, I have over a 100 different shooters, and Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga just aren't all that fun to me. Also my rebuttal was kind of weak I admit, but it was more of a quick backlash due to an arguement I had earlier with someo...

hehe nice list, I'll add one as well. Claim: Treasure is the best action game maker "ever". Rebuttal: The Treasure "greats" like Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga, simply aren't my type of shooters (I have well over 100, and I don't care for them). And all the fanboys who insist Treasure can do no wrong...

I also think you should give Sengoku Blade another try. Its one of the few Psikyo games that I really enjoyed. I still play the Saturn port on a regular basis, but then again I've always been a strong supporter of mikos. ;) Oh and while on the subject of Psikyo shooters, I'm still wishing for a cons...

I've seen the MPEG version of Lunar on Ebay before. But I've never seen it in action. I always thought it would just make it look about the same quality. But for it to look better wow. Are videos full screen? Do you know if there's any other games that use the video card for enhancement? Yeah the v...
