Re: [X68K] Undumped game releases

Yes I do. I even made a youtube video on it lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZuviVY0ru8 That book comes with 12 games. Most were already dumped, My Today's Job, Overdriver and Larjis weren't, and I released those already. I think I forgot to release Bradion though and maybe a few others. Camerot...

Re: [X68K] Undumped game releases

I burned the images on a CDR and copied them to my real XVI's HD with a SCSI CD drive. Then wrote the images to physical floppies. The savadata.lt file is a little bitch. It's somehow written so that I can't even delete it, if you try to delete it, human will give you the message "there is no f...

Useful is on one of the World of X68000 II disks. Same disk as Rush! (drive 0 boots Rush!, drive 1 boots Useful)

Re: [X68K] Undumped game releases

I'll see what I can do, but cracking is very hard to do without having the original disks. I still haven't been able to crack Moon Soldier II nor Racing Champ. I believe I could reproduce those two if I had a Kryoflux, but I don't. Oh by the way Macaw, I noticed you are looking for a way to view gra...

Re: [ARC] Aurail

It's a step below that dream, but the FM Towns version does support 4-players at once if you link 2 computers with a serial crossover cable. :)

Re: 3D arcade style action games

Not sure if it's what you're looking for, but Geograph Seal on the X68K is still awesome.

Also had a lot of fun with Trap Gunner on PS1. Especially in 2 player mode with a partner that actually knows the game already.

Re: Horror Visual Novels (Human Entertainment, Chunsoft, et

The MSX version is identical to the other computer versions AFAIK. Running on my Sony Trinitron via RGB it looked amazing. The difference is just the resolution. So on MSX it's actually full screen, but being 15khz, you have scanlines. On the Towns and X68K it's 31khz, so no scanlines, but instead y...

Re: Horror Visual Novels (Human Entertainment, Chunsoft, et

For Dead of the Brain, I recommend the MSX original personally. It's the only version that's full screen, and I find the lack of border and icons to be a lot more imersive when played in the dark. (the other versions use the border due to resolution differences, they were too lazy to redraw). Sadly ...

Re: [ARC] Aurail

I don't think Solar Assault is that rare; it did get released internationally. I imagine it was just unpopular. Never heard of anywhere around here having it. There's a full cab on eBay right now for $520, with the auction ending in a week. I still find it bewildering how Gradius II Arcade wasn't r...

Re: Games w/ MIDI

Ended up with a copy of the Micomsoft NAGDRV music driver. It came with some awesome music samples, that were sadly never used in an actual game. I especially love finding stuff that uses the 64 expansion cards, as they are extremely rare, and sound beautiful when used right. Afterburner's "Fin...

Don't forget the PCE LD-ROM2 games. :) Most PCE lists don't include these, but imo they should be included as well. NEC even sold their own rebadged LA units..

Put Saboten Bombers back in my cab. This game kicks my ass so hard, but much prefer the pacing over all of the Taito platformers. The animation never fails to impress me either, really smooth stuff.

Japan Boardin' thread

Finally it's the time of the year where I always say "fuck games" and hit the mountain. I'm about an hour drive from Okuibuki, so that will be my typical Sunday hangout through March. Hope to make a few night bus trips up to Hakuba this year too though. I had some Amazon gift credit sittin...

Curious, why the USA version? Isn't it just Salamander with weirdo background colors?

Re: [X68K] Undumped game releases

Found a couple more lost games recently. Sadly due to some bullshit, I can't do public release at this time. Sorry. :( Blue Wings: The Special Airforce The very first shooter by O/S software, aka Blue and White. There later games are freely available, but this one slipped through the cracks... http:...

Re: I've had enough and am selling most of my stuff

Cool can't wait to get the box MK. :) As for the collector thing, it really depends on the system for me. I really like having original X68k games, both retail and doujin (especially doujin). For one thing it helps to have the manuals for most games, plus they look so pretty. These days though, I ru...

Re: I've had enough and am selling most of my stuff

My personal opinion is that RPGs are games for people who hate games. I haven't encountered one that didn't use endless grinding instead of a rewarding gameplay experience via a balanced difficulty or a narrative structure giving some urgency to move along instead of grinding and resulting in a gam...

Based on my LaserActive games spinecards', Pyramid Patrol was Super D3boS for sure. Though, Rocket Coaster also lists the machine, and Rocket Coaster was a cut and paste job using footage from various LD arcade games (from what I've heard anyway).

Screw the tits, go to the character page and check out Norika's upper legs. She'll make a great replacement for the world wide bacon shortage we are supposed to get next year.
