Re: The emulation thread...

Wow, so Gunbeat has surfaced now as well? May I ask how it was found? Do you know any specifics about the staff members involved? Is it in your possession at the moment?

And of course, how much of the ideas that overlap with Raystorm. Not least the soundtrack, if that was implemented.

Re: The emulation thread...

Wow, never thought R-Gear would surface! Or that it was so close to being completed. I wonder far they got with designing enemy attacks and placements, or last minute aesthetic touch ups... Considering this never made it to location testing (right?) and only a small portion of the game was shown in ...

Re: Shin Shinobi Den [SAT]

Never needed an Action Replay before, so no. I'm also a bit suspicious about running a 50 Hz game on a 60 Hz system. I remember some Mega Drive games not syncing correctly with the music, at least when running Japanese MD games on a European system. Might not be a problem with Saturn games, or the o...

Re: [SS] Shin Shinobi Den

Cool, this will probably be my next game purchase. Always thought it was crap until recently when I read the Game Kommander review and got inspired. I'll start off with the JP version since I currently don't have a PAL system, but the story behind the European soundtrack is interesting for sure!

Re: [PS4] ASSAULT SUIT LEYNOS

lol indeed. I know it's a work in progess but still, those clips look don't look impressive at all. And why even show anything at all if you aren't out to impress? It's like they are relying on those screenshots and other elenents from the Mega Drive game to get people worked up because of nostalgia...

Re: Horror Visual Novels (Human Entertainment, Chunsoft, et

I know what you mean layzee. Having to constantly look up words or kanji is totally anti-immersive and would completely spoil the experience for me. I'm holding out too, and would much rather use Japanese Nobel prize literature for mere practice, before I'm ready for these. :)

What type of game is the original Find the Magical Error? I noticed you have the board, Shou, do you have any pictures of the board or the game running?

At least one game designer saw quality in Dragon's Crown's visuals (via Postback):

Thanks everyone. Daisakusen seems to be offline and the catalog project only allows you to search for specific titles? If you could reorganize that list by date I'd be forever thankful, GP!

Re: [ARC] [360] [PS3] Mamoru-kun wa Norowarete Shimatta!

I tried this at Mikado. There was something wrong with the headphone jack so I couldn't hear the soundtrack properly (which I really like). Anyway for some reason I had never realized how bad this game looked until I actually got to play it. I want to try it again but I am really pretty angry with h...

Re: CA Production

I've played their Zenki game a little bit. There are a lot of similarities, but shouldn't be compared with Hagane. It's just way too crude, and the main character looks like an idiot. Probably more interesting than the average license game, but way below my standards. On the subject of PCE shooters ...

Re: CA Production

Yeah, it's extremely tough the first few tries, but like you said it's not so hard after you learn all the weapons and moves. Otherwise I haven't found a single flaw in Hagane yet. Stage design is perfect, and the quality of the graphics and the music is just insane , with amazing new tile sets and ...

CA Production

http://www.caproduction.co.jp/works.html I've been playing Hagane for the past days and I'm totally blown away by its quality. It has got to be the best SFC action game! Never cared for Sapphire, but I'm looking forward to trying Bulk Slash (Sega Saturn) by the same developer. I can't find the sourc...
