2006-02-25. Man, Japan was cold. All you kids form the northern parts of the US would probably laugh, but there was some pretty sick weather on my recent trip. I did want a change of pace, and I sure got one. ... were a nightmare. Pissing down rain and just above freezing ... were a nightmare. Piss...

Quake is my idea of a "pure" FPS - no gimmicks, no story (those three paragraphs of nonsense in the readme don't count), no fancy weapons, just pure carnage. Plus people keep making ridiculous enhancements ...

Puh-lease, that's not even bad. We have 22% tax. That's why I usually buy my stuff from the UK :)

Here's one more: Diet Go Go, by Data East (1993) Never heard of it before and I don't think it's emulated yet. I found it while on Guru's site. There's screenshots of it here (scroll down to find them).

Just so that this is clear for everybody :D, the Gussun Oyoyo series doesn't really have anything in common with SSP's (as has been already said). However, Gussun Paradise is a pound for pound, pure bred SSP. It was also released in Europe under the name of Yoyo's Puzzle Park. The official webpage c...

Re: Single screen platformers

These things are just too damn fun. Agreed wholeheartedly. You have to check out Bombjack Twin (PCB). Just after the original Bubble Bobble that's my favorite SSP. Great, great game. Other's worth a mention are: Pang series (various) Tumblepop (PCB) A-Blast/Penguin Brothers (PCB) Chip Chan Kick (PC...

isn't Giant Doshin the GC exclusive? I could be worng though... Erm, well, no. Originally it was released for the N64 DD, as you probably already know, but the GC version isn't a JPN exclusive either, since it was released in PAL format as well. Two JPN exclusives that spring to mind are Drill Land...

Recap wrote:Do you know what Euro company published the game and how the hell did they contact Treasure?
Swing! Entertainment Media AG published it. They were to publish the PS2 game as well, but I'm fairly sure they never got that out of the door. The company is now defunct, I think.

The GBA one (Buster's Bad Dream was it?) was released in Europe. The PS2 never came out, AFAIK.

Do you play games or just look at them? Not that I don't agree, design-wise Border Down could have been a whole lot better. Gameplay on the other hand was good stuff, so it's still a good game in my book.

Late to the party as always, so I missed a lot of good stuff :( So are there any Saturn games up for grabs that aren't on eBay? I might be interested in a few. Hmm, I might fancy a few HuCards as well. I take it that list isn't up-to-date regarding sold items and ones on eBay, right?
