Re: Taito Classic Posters Fair

I guess Taito are testing the waters with this event. Making posters is like printing money it seems.

Re: 3D arcade style action games

Fighting Force aka Metal Fist is a European made Dynamite Deka clone by Core Design for Sonys Playstation. It was only average bitt and I have no idea how good it aged - I guess not terribly well - but it fits the bill. It sold well enough to receive ports for the N64 and PC as well as a sequel for ...

Re: NeoGeo (or Saturn) to USB

That's too bad. Yes, the pinout is different but it's only 11 or 12 wires that keeps it manageable. Yes this thing with those saturn pads is fairly ridiculous. I've got a purple one for the PS2 and nice but not as good as the Saturn original. I've bought it because it was cheap back then but i would...

Re: NeoGeo (or Saturn) to USB

If you've still got a controller-port you could wire it 1:1 as there should be no chips inside the pad.
I guess you can get some sweet deals in those shops.

If it's a digital board inside the TV and you've got the remote, then you can access the service menu via code. The code should be found on the net when you search for the model. If it's a analog set, then there is the chance that a TV repairs man can set it up for you. - I advice you against doing ...

Re: I've had enough and am selling most of my stuff

My personal opinion is that RPGs are games for people who hate games. I haven't encountered one that didn't use endless grinding instead of a rewarding gameplay experience via a balanced difficulty or a narrative structure giving some urgency to move along instead of grinding and resulting in a game...

Re: The Official WTF are YOU playing right now thread

I've been playing Magical Hoppers (Pandemonium) for Playstation. For a 1990s jump n run game made in USA it's quite good. The graphics with their combination of bitmaps for objects and background and polygons for the characters and "road" have a nice Nights into Dreams-ish look and feel so...

So, it seems that I can get Windows 7 Home Premium for $90 on Amazon (although they won't ship to me). Does anyone have any experience w/ this and the Arcade VGA? Honestly I'm fine with XP, but can't find my install disc, and it actually seems to be more expensive. Why pay $90 for Windows 7? There ...

I guess this fits in here nicely:

There is now a DDP DOJ conversion cartridge for the PGM1 from the same guy that did the Ikaruga for Naomi cart.

I guess It's now just a matter of time until we see Ketsui carts. for PGM pop up.

Re: NMK Thread

I don't have much experience with NMK but I really like their Macross II shooting game with it's heavy emphasis on time-attack.
There aren't many score centric horizontal shooting games in the first place and I think it's the only caravan-mode game in arcades.
