Yea they get kind of dirty with the listening. I remember one I heard on a practice test was asking what the girl was doing when her dad came home and it starts off with "while i was watching tv, dad came home" then goes on to talk about this dinner she prepared, homework, laundry, etc., a...

I'm going to be taking the level 2 test here in a couple of weeks and am pretty sure I'm gonna fail. I've studied like 3 hours a day for the past few months and yet when I do the practice tests I suck dick. The kanji is cake but that's about it. The listening fucks me up especially. Not much to do a...

Air Gallet isn't too hard to beat if you focus on it. I think I cleared it after about 10 hours. You get a healthy amount of bombs and the bosses aren't so bad once you figure out their tricks. The stage 4 boss and the last form of the last boss are the roughest parts of the game. Re: Futari BL: Yea...

Air Gallet Beat it on one coin a couple of times but I'm determined on clearing it with at least two spare lives in stock. Akira Psychoball Finally found a copy of this at a used game shop. It's not known as being particularly rare, but I've had a hell of a time finding it. Luckily, it was the sub-...

Level 1 and 2 are now offered twice a year, but I think starting next year they're adding another level, between the two.

I've been studying the level 2 books pretty hard so I damn well better pass.

I want to pass the level 1 mainly to prove to myself that I can do it, but I've still got a long way to go. And like you say, couldn't hurt. One company I saw that was hiring had it listed as a requirement. I figure I'll be ready in about two years so if your offer still stands and you have the conn...

Translation is the dream at the moment, so I'm studying every day and reading a lot more. Not really sure how to get into the field other than passing the level 1 JLPT and submitting samples to companies.

My only skills are drawing and Japanese, so I'm pretty fucked. On the bright side, with this job I really only work 3 or 4 hours a day and that work isn't very hard, so it's pretty appealing to stay. My girlfriend works at a software company and gets worked like a mule while I'm sitting in my office...

I work at an elementary school through a company similar to JET and am enjoying it. The people at the school are nice and it isn't very hard, although the pay probably isn't the best. My company also doesn't have a limit like JET so I could potentially be working here for a while. Other teachers nea...

Sorry I slacked off with the other thread, I stopped checking the high score forums here because no one was posting for a while.

Someday I'll return to MSX but I doubt I'll be able to touch a 5,6m score in this lifetime.

topfloor mandarake nakano, in one of the very far corners theres a pornshop that only has rape stuff.. pretty crazy.. Man, the Nakano Mandarake--actually, the entire nerd corner down at the end of the Broadway--just confused the hell out of me. It's like the top couple of floors of that building ri...

Ketsui DS Play it on the shinkansen and at work, truly a blessing. K-1 GP DS What a disaster. Zero in the way of extras or unlockables, bullshit edit mode, and a broken fighting system. The large roster is nice and the graphics are serviceable but a mess through and through. Final score: 2.5.

Just watched your video and while my buddy's name was indeed Max, his last name was Nafziger, not Countryman. It's been a couple years since he came back so I suppose it could have been the same room. Whoever it was, it looks like they left Miyazaki in a hurry with all the shit they left behind. Max...

I don't suppose you go to Evergreen? A buddy of mine went there and did the same program, living in Miyazaki for a year (or maybe 6 months). He had a great time and said that he preferred the quieter and scenic Miyazaki to the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. When I lived in Tokyo for a year I was in a d...

The 64 controller is tailor-made for it but you could probably get by with a PS2 pad if you had to.

It's pretty badass, man. It runs fine on my computer but you really want to use a 64 controller. It's also on the Wii VC if you have one. The original cart is pretty cheap too.

The Wii finally gets something potentially interesting. Still not buying one though. http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii297/garcian/sp1.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii297/garcian/sp2.jpg http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii297/garcian/sp3.jpg

Congratulations on capturing the title. It was a long season of ups and downs. Just think back to the start of the year when the management had no clue how to run the team, work the auto-fielding, or even how to pronounce some of the player's names . Who would have thought that months later The 'Wav...

Legend of Kage 2 DS I think the quality in this game has much to do with the fact that they don't make 2D ninja action anymore so I like it just for what it is. This part of your review is what I don't get. Is it good, or just good because its the only Ninja Action Game in town at the moment? On ou...

The 200 Mannin game is a separate series from Kanken DS, which now has a sequel. I imagine it is an improvement in some way from the first, but haven't tried it so I can't say for sure. If you're of JLPT level 2 then Kanken DS should serve you well. The game is based around the kanji-specific nation...
