Mushihime-sama Futari

You can go to Cave's website and look at their games. They're listed in chronological order...newest at the top.

I tried it two hours ago or so, only one credit because I didn't have the patience to wait in line all over again (Hey is so goddamn noisy!), and there were plenty of other shooters I wanted to play. I got a very good impression however, but I haven't figured out the system. Cool and varied gameplay, patterns remind me of Bakraid.

Does anyone have a good quality video, or link to a game play video of this? The only stuff I can find is pretty crappy. There's nothing on super-play.co.uk and I really don't know anyother sites that'd have it.

Wow. I've seen the clip on youtube of the dancing, but when you get a chance to see the guy in the skirt and the knotted up t-shirt...ouch.

Well the first half of the commercial gets my vote. Although the bovine battle was nice too. Unexpected, but nice.

Welcome!

It's way more accessible. If it you suck at his style of games (right here, baby) MMP is probably for you. There's no ass reaming rank, and in all honesty, it looks and feels way better than the previous 2. Pink Sweets just lost me, I must admit.

The unfortunate thing is that MMP is still somewhat pricey.

Pink Sweets lost me the moment I realized it had big swizzly lazers. I don't do big swizzly lazers.

Pink Sweets is a lot of fun if you try and max the rank out and get the infinite lives trick by the end of Stage 3. Which, admittedly, is probably the weirdest way to play any shooter, ever. If you don't do this, the game sucks because it's basically impossible to 1CC unless you do a boring low points, no item pickup play to control the rank.

Score Attack mode is awesome too.

But yeah, MMP is better. Easy to pick up and play, without the atrocious difficulty. Super fun scoring system as well.

I enjoy MMP more every time I play. Sign of a great game.
Various OTT lazers but nothing "swizzly" :D

Oh Cmon Guys!
I have not and probably will never get to play Pink Sweets but
thats the game that got me back into Shmups when it got released
and i saw the lovely (erotic?) :D art and the gameplay videos.

Ibara is my current fav game and most people dump on that game becuase of the rank and its difficulty but i really like tough games.

If i ever can afford it I will get my hands on an Ibara/PS and Battle Garegga board.

I really hope Yagawa hasnt been told by the Cave higher ups, no more
rank system in his games :(

I really like the MMP artwork too, fat chicks with big tits = win! ;)

Ibara and Pink Sweets are not alike in terms of rank. In Pink Sweets you cannot lower the rank, you can only slow its rise. That's a big difference from Ibara and MMP (in both games you can lower the rank by suiciding a few times periodically).

If you want to go for a high score your only option in Pink Sweets is to get the infinite lives trick (get 6 lives total without dying) and then max the rank out and play through to the end. That is not easy, but it's not impossible either.

Agreed. But try and do it on 1 life. That's a better challenge.

I have it and i dont like it (yet).

I know i said i like tough games, but man DOJ is just not my style i guess.

DOJ is the reason why i didnt like Cave games :/ It was my first on PS2.
I have got into ESP Galuda since and really enjoying it.
Mushi i love but i am leaving it sit there for awhile. I dont know why.

When i got Ibara i thought oh well another game thats going to sit there
and gather dust, nope, the best CAVE game ive played so far, typical it
was made by a Raizing person :D

If you want challenge, they don't get more challenging than that. That's one of the most unforgivable scoring systems known.
