Japanese Arcades

Postby Gaijin Punch » Thu Sep 13, 2007 5:52 am

Rant & Rave about your favorite arcades here.

I'll get the ball rolling w/ this.

I didn't have my DSLR so taking pictures of the cabs w/o the flash is a bit of a waste of time. Didn't want to disturb anyone playing. The paraphernalia on the walls is the most interesting to me.

I wonder where they get the frames for those posters?
A very nice article, btw. I'm looking forward to this becoming a series :D

wow.. they have pinball machines!

thats only the second arcade ive seen from japan that have them, the other being my fave "sugai game center" in sapporo.

but they only had a CFTBL.. pinball doesnt seem popular at all in japan??

btw i see ads for DVDs all over the place there, some are for fighters but what is the one next to the black label posters for?

My favorite arcade when I was living in Aichi-ken was Game Box Q2.
All games are 50 yen, and a lot of top players practice there (e.g. NMT from the INH Raiden DX DVD).
It's kinda small, especially the shooting are, but you can ask them to swap out games for you.
Don't have any pics, I'm afraid...
