I wonder what the X is after the title.

Aww man... A PS3 port would have been nice... since its more region-friendly.

Gross. I'm sure as hell not buying a Japanese 360.

Come on Cave, rethink this. PS3.

If this isn't Arika's doing then Mihara and his dorky little DS game just got pwned. Still, I imagine Ikeda would've mentioned it to him at some point, but such is the hardball world of nerd.

So I've taken the right decision to sell my PAL X360 ages ago...
Now these + Raiden Fighters Ace + Ninja Gaiden 2 are the reason to buy a cheap cheap Japanese 360

Still, I'd prefer a PS3 version...

Believe it dude. Famitsu Scans up on the interweb. There's more wallpaper than game screen!

haha im glad i already have these games so i wont have to worry about it.. importing a japanese 360.. what a nightmare :conf:

ill bet anything theyre emulated in a mame-like fashion, only reason i can think of why they would choose to port these old-ass games.

I'm most curious about the "updated graphics". How they fuck do you update a sprite?

What about "XBox Live support"? Just for score competition or some two-player fgtry?

Well I guess they could reassemble the game using the original artwork without the restrictions of Cave PCB hardware, or something like that? Layer Section has some edited backgrounds and recoloring jobs, and it does look better.

Unfortunately, a port is my only way to play these games, since I don't want to afford the PCB's...

But I fear how these games are seen on a HD LCD screen...
maybe they're referring to this when they speak about updated graphics, optimized to run in HD?! Hope so, otherwise it will be a nightmare to dodge those bullets....

Oh, just seen the scans...
that look at the actual playing screen is simply ridicoulous...
70% occupied by the wallpaper!!!

Well, there really are no restrictions other than sprite size. The only "update" I could see is high res sprites, and I seriously doubt that will happen.

GSL: But it says "Gurafikku Power". What more do you need?

GP:Magazines to stop abusing the word "Kanzen Ishoku".

O_O :D

EDIT: I see it says 'Inset Coint' on the top right? Is this any indication that this is just gonna be emulated? I know Arika changed this for the Galuda home port.

Still its about 75% of an arcade screens size if you play it on a 37 inch HDTV (as I do). So I don't really care, the only thing I'm afraid of are missing scanlines. I hope the do well on converting its looks it into clean HD-graphics.

As I simply can't afford the PCBs (saving money for 1 year to buy a single game? I don't think thats too reasonable from a gamer's perspective) I will definately try to get hold of the port. I love Ketsui and I will do anything to play it here at home :)

Indeed. It is a great alternative for the "down to Earth" gamer.

I think by "update" it's more like "redraw". SNK's been doing this for years.

I thought the issue w/ SNK is that they don't redraw... they simply scale.

In KOF, Terry Bogard's 2000 and 2003 (and his SvC) sprites look nothing similar, even though his 1996 and 2000 sprites are pretty much carbon copy. Not to mention the different artists that came into play recently, which probably has to do with the above. This is what I meant by "redrawing". Not to say that hiring a completely different artist is the best choice; it's just happened.

I highly doubt we'll get a sprite redraw. That's a shitload of work for a release that's already going to have a surprisingly low run (by today's standards).
