[PSP] Growlanser Remake

Postby SuperDeadite » Sat Feb 07, 2009 11:52 am

Well, it finally happened. Growlanser 1 comes to PSP. Looks like they added new characters, so its not just a straight port. Guess I might finally have to buy me a PSP just for my CareerSoft Collection...

I love Urushihara's illustrations. I especially love the nude wimmenz.

This is the only good game in the series. The thing is, it's really, really good. One of the best RPGs on the system. The one problem (for me)? It's fucking long. I think I clocked 60 hours and skipped a lot of bullshit. Wonder if they're repainting the stuff. I doubt it. If it was half the length I'd play through it again at some point. Oh, and the fairy is annoying as a hemroid... not that I've had one, but could imagine.

Yes, one of the best RPGs out there. It was so good that I played through enough times to get every girls' ending. And I did a true play-through every time (no M2 accessorys).

Can't believe this game is already 10 years old.... where did my life go? O_O

Growlanser IV was also a solid game, once you get used to the ugly CG backgrounds. V and VI were fun, just lacked polish and a bit rough around the edges. :)

This has been one of those series I always thought of playing, but never got around to. I'll have to pick this up and give it a shot, especially since my PSP needs some love.

It's hard to believe there are more numbered Growlansers than Langrissers. But I really feel that Atlus has wasted Career Soft's talent. I'll pick this up though with Atlus USA's recent quantity-heavy approach, I expect that they'll localize it.
