a fellow swede is a crazy treasure collector, he also has it, i think in a magazine interwiev about his collection he mentions that the thin grey line is all thats different.

i think the question is "what was the most expensive item" or something like that and he retourts with "the thin grey line of bangaio special disc" :P

There are two release types of the Bangaio trial.

I've got the same one with the single sheet front cover, There is also on that came sealed without the front or rear and has the same model number as the final retail version with no marking to indicate its a trial.

If I remember rightly you only get to play a few levels then it pops up with a coming soon graphic.

Here's my latest pickup...

Languishing with the Donkey Training simulators came this rather out of place Pro Yakyu Baseball Soundtrack.

It would have been quite easy to miss from just seeing the text and the first image but I had a look and it comes with a trial disc for Pro Yakyu Team De Asobou!

There is a more well known demo disc for Team De Asobou! and it looks like this for comparison:

I'd love to have a full net yaroze set.

Had a clear up on the weekend and put a list in order, It breaks down like this:

610-XXXX discs-

165 Trial discs
21 Browser discs
15 Magazine Demo discs

non 610-XXXX discs-

7 Miscellanious
14 Toyota discs

So in total were looking at 222 Hibaihin discs and theres no way this is final as theres bound to be more I don't know about.

Well spoken. I could populate pages of flyer babble... even Shou would be a little lost.

My DC goodies stash is unfortunately a small one.

Just cause you feel alone, doesn't mean others don't appreciate your endeavors :D

Was that controller instructions on the rear cd case insert or on the rear of the single sheet front cover?

A Hitachi SH-4 disc just appeared in the wild.

69,000 yen ending.

Thank god I already own this, and managed to score it for a mere hundred.

I'm looking for that magazine cd that features an upgrade for Dynamite Cop where you can play as that bird from Dynamite Deka/Die Hard The Arcade.

Was it one of the Dreamcast Magazine GD-Roms?

Got very lucky recently and managed to find the D-Direct Shenmue 2 demo sealed for a measly $10.

I'm close to the 230 mark now but I've just discovered another 20+ that I didn't know existed so realising theres another subsection of very scarce discs is quite harsh.

Do you have a pic of this? I've only got one Shenmue 2 demo, and it's actually just a looping video. Pretty lame actually, but rare, nonetheless.

Ah. Yeah, I got that one back in the day on YJ. Can't remember how much, but I do think there was a bit of cock swinging involved. Thing is I was on Dreamcast Direct all the time and never remember it being offered there. O_o

Semi OT: I always wanted to rip the Planet Harriers video off of one of the DC Magazine GD-Roms but could never get the software to work (I have a BBA). My DC model is the D-Direct Super Black. Perhaps something weird about the GD-Rom, or would you think it's the unit?

It was given out just after D-Direct had transitioned into Sega Direct, I'm not sure what the requirement was to have one sent out though.

And it was probably a software problem, You shouldn't have any trouble with that hardware setup.

Over a whole year on and not much has happened, The availability of these discs is so few and far between and they are proving really difficult to track down some 10+ years on.

I did have one slice of luck finding what I've found to be the hardest DC hibaihin to track down, The illusive 1999 Tokyo Motor Show disc 'Alabama meets Will Vi'
