I'm going but the there is a lot of hype around this in the Japanese community. I expect both locations to be completely sold out with just the people standing in line. You have devs like Kamiya saying he is buying all 4...

Holy fucking shit!
Awesome...

I doubt I'll go though. No A3 scanner to scan them, and no place to hang. 500 each. It will definitely bring the resale market down.

I have no interest in standing in line all fucking night! If I can get out there later and get some, might try it.

Got my last big paper of the semester due by midnight that night, and knowing me I won't have it finished in advance. If through some miracle I do pull it off, wouldn't mind going down there if anyone else will be there, but I'm deathly allergic to Japanese queues wherein the good stuff's guaranteed to be sold out by the time you get there.

It's not the classiest, but there's a Hub Pub over towards the Yodobashi Camera, depending on what time people go and make it through the gauntlet...

I'd say go to Devilcraft afterwards for authentic American pizza but it will undoubtedly be crowded too...

I love real craft beers far more than I love pale facsimiles of the least boring aspects of British pub food and drink. I also love real pizza, absent of weirdness like shrimp and corn and mayonnaise. I think this is a great idea.

(Been meaning to try that place for a while, actually--a friend's uncle is apparently one of the owners or founders or something, but despite her recommendation I've never gotten around to checking it out).

.............please someone........anyone..............is anyone attending that I can throw some money too?

If anyone cares I have a real medical OCD issue with the Darius games and have been after the posters for literally aeons. But the real ones NEVER show up on YAJ, the last one that did for the GMO Vinyl (I have the vinyl record incidentally) went for like ¥874 trillion!!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone is attending this event PLEASE get in touch! :)

EDIT: FUCK!! It's ACTUALLY called a fucking DARIUS FAIR. :( FUCK. This, for me anyway, is like the matsuri to end all matsuri's.

If anyone is going, please take loads of photos, videos, ANYTHING AT ALL. Shit. I bet it's going to be fucking amazing. DAMN. :x :(

So these are actually originals being sold? Did some Taito guy find an old stash? lol

From the name of the event I was expecting all Taito posters to be available or something :P Would've been cool to grab a Master of Weapon poster hehehe.

I guess Taito are testing the waters with this event. Making posters is like printing money it seems.

My guess is this is Taito pulling a Cave. I guess they're "original" in that Taito is printing them. You can bet your sweet as they're reprints though. No way they magically found 500 of 4 types of poster. :)

Anyway, I may go, may not. I doubt I will queue though. Pyongyang, I'm sure these will show up on Yahoo soon after. Quite a few even. You're more than welcome to an account here.

If theres no way to tell these reprints from the originals then I'd imagine collectors with true originals would be pissed the fuck off.

The originals should all have got some form of fading over the years by now, so a true collector should always be able to distinguish the two.
Personally I think it's great that they do some reasonably priced fan service which is not too gimmicky like character hugging pillows.

They'll inevitably be resold on YAJ for ¥268,000 each. :(

W/ 500 each, my guess is at least 20-30 make it out... prices will be inflated, but my guess well under 10,000 yen (maybe 5000 - 6000)? Beats the 30,000 Darius 1 & 2 posters demand.

Undoubtedly, bidding will be hot initially as the guys who don't live in Tokyo will be bidding high but hopefully it will cool down.

Didn't realize this was on a Thursday. Should I go down there tonight? Will it be worth it? Give me an update if you make it down there.

Haven't gone down yet but collector friends picked up what they wanted without issues. They're limiting each person to 4 posters.

I've got to meet an arcade manager later to see about dumping a board where only 1 exists in the whole world so I don't think I am going today.

I just heard (literally seconds ago) that Darius and Darius II posters were at Hey! today and they sold out literally within minutes. :(

P.s Mr. Shoes, if that PCB is what I think it is, I hate you (sorta)! :D
