No Continue Kid X Game Center CX Arcade@Shibuya Parco

Postby Shou » Wed Feb 05, 2014 1:17 am

Mikado is helping the producers of No Continue Kid and Game Center CX in providing a limited time arcade at Shibuya Parco to promote both shows.

It's 1000 yen to enter which gets you 1 drink and 90 minutes of free play. It works on a ticket system so some times seem to be sold out on the web site but when I went in person, the times were open.

It's nothing too special for most retro fans but a good value. There are also some limited edition goods like a Game Center Watanabe ashtray.

Games:
Arkanoid
Chimera Beast (JP version is undumped)
Columns
Fantasy Zone
Final Fight
Gradius II
Makaimura
Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun
Pac-man
Pole Position II
Puyo Puyo 2
R-Type
Super Real Mahjong P?
Super Street Fighter II X
The Tower of Druaga
Twinbee (the original Bubble system version)
Virtua Fighter 2 (not 2.1)

Plenty of pics here.

Would like to have seen them put in some stuff w/ non-standard panels. I'd probably head down for the Ikari games or Lost Worlds. Gotta go to Akiba to play them now, and they seem to be on rotation at best.

You can request those games at Try and they will put it up for play.

I got another Night Striker recently, maybe we can set that up somewhere.

I was a bit bored with the arcade and ended up playing SSF2X and VF2 most of the time after getting the high score on Pac-man.

Can someone tell me wtf is the technique in Night Striker for dodging the homing missiles in later stages?
Ara Ararauna, Blue and Gold Macaw, 32-34 inches
They are adaptable, and enjoy being in social situations. They readily become adept at performing tricks, and seem to love doing so. Cost:$900-1400

AFAIK, super tight JERKY motions. They are whores, I admit (but apparently only on the Japanese defaults).

Not sure, the machine just had a sign on it saying it was out of order.
