Keeping up with arcade releases

Does anyone know of a good (English, preferably) site that surveys upcoming arcade releases? I am curious to know what new arcade developments are going on in Nippon these days.

There are hardly any traditional arcade titles coming out. Most of the dedicated Sega stuff doesn't even come out here (Dream Raiders, Transformers, etc). The last non-music game Sega release was Operation Ghost.

All standard games come out on Nesica or All.net P-ras except for the Capcom Gundams. USF4 has been a super flop and operators are pissed at Capcom for releasing the console version already overseas (Japanese players have all bought it).

All of the action is happening in China these days, there are tons of titles which people haven't heard of.

Thanks for the replies. It seems the Japanese arcade scene is getting drier than my granny's puss. I really need to get over to Japan and experience this shit for a few months/years before I miss my chance. I'll let you dudes know when I arrive!

Can you give us some recommendations? I remember someone here mentioned the Contra remake by Konami of China before. Apart from this one, I never read anything about recent arcade games from China on Western internet sites.

played some of the seasons new games over at the local amusementpark.. transformers, aliens and batman games are some weak shit alright, actual gameplay has been dropped for flashy cabinets with tons of LED lighting effects.
I cant imagine anyone, anywhere, ever dropping a second coin into any of these machines.

mach storm was cool as a 1-2credit thing because of the dome cabinet but i found the gameplay kind of lacking here aswell, felt a bit like those old LD games where the controls only had minor influence of the onscreen action, well worth a try tho.

..and thats about all the new stuff ive seen this year apart from star trek pinball..

I've played through it, it's exactly the same as the original game except for the 2 girl characters who power up differently.
