PC Engine CD Rom emulation???....

Postby dave4shmups » Sat Sep 18, 2004 2:09 am

I have been trying out some PC Engine games on Magic Engine, but I cannot find any sites that have roms for the CD games. Being able to try out PC Engine games like this has been most helpfull, but I'd also really like to try out some PCE CD games as well. Does anyone know of any sites that have roms, or whatever else they're called, of the CD games?

why oh why? :D read review and get the disc you like. Magic Engine runs pretty much all SCD titles... I have modified SuperGrafx w/ SCD-ROM module but use ME from time to time when I need quick fix of dracula-x as it's easier than pulling out all the gears and hooking upto a spare TV... cheers

My advice on downlaoding SCD images (there are no roms from a CD) -- don't do it. 98% of the time, they were ripped by some fuckwad that doesn't know how SCDs work. They're not like normal CDs. You need good hardware, and specific software to properly back them up -- even then it's a crapshoot. Just buy the games... they're much cheaper now than they were.

I downloaded many PCE cd with emule, ( Cool little software ) for downloading games. Most of them ( almost every ) is ISo + Mp3 so you will need to convert all mp3 to wav beafore burning them with the cue sheet.

I refuse to pay more than retail for most games (there are some guilty exceptions); most games don't even give me the retail price amount of enjoyment, and I can hardly imagine that Sapphire is going to net me 300+ dollars worth of fun you know?
