Contra: Famicom Version

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=251CB672377B5DC4&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL

My first 1CC video. I get to the end of the 5th loop I think. It got so boring doing the same thing over and over that I didn't even keep proper count. Far from my best play though, I've broken 5,000,000 before.

cool vid (tho i only watched the first round, dunno why you bothered with the others to be honest :P).

didnt know there were so many differences between the different regions of this game, still prefer the probotector version tho, I think the mecha theme fits this game really niceley, the designs are really cool on top of that, very patlabor inspired.

theres a good quality runthru on youtube for those that are interested.

Well, it gets harder every loop. The random enemies spawn faster and faster. The game really gets fun at about loop 5. But sadly nothing else changes so it gets quite boring playing to that point. :P

Haha. I bet that came in handy.

Wonder if anyone knew Namiki did the sound.

I caught that at the end. I was surprised - I think he slept through composing it. Totally forgettable.

Not a Namiki fan, so not much criticism worth while here.

I'm picky, to say the least. I think DOJ & Ketsui are fine within those games. I think the Mushi soundtrack(s) even within the games themselves are pretty crappy.

Too bad :( There's a full run on youtube but the guy use tons of credits and the whole video looks bad (audio desync, slowdown etc). Other than that, there's nothing good out there.

Thanks for checking this out for me.

I would if emulation was any good. Most MAME versions has a lot of slowdown, and the one that doesn't has like 6 frames of imput lag.

However, I did watch the Cybattler replay and I feel like beating that one. The final stage is amazing.

Best "blurb" for a video game video on Youtube ever. No shit - hats off!!!

EDIT - holy shit. I've never watched even a second of footage from this legandary turd. Again, props for putting in more time to go past the fisrt stage.

Hehe. Want to see the worst part of the whole game? Skip ahead to 5:40 in Part 5. It has to be seen to be believed.

Batrider is the Pink Sweets of the Bat-Trilogy, the amount of milking is out of control, considering the world record score is close to double than what this player gets (29mil+ iirc). Some things he does already seem crazy hard.
