The Forum Feedback thread...

Postby mb7241 » Sat Sep 04, 2004 2:21 am

Got a done deal already? Want to show who you dealt with, and who is a good trader according to your experience? Well...post their names here. List all those you've traded with, and list positive, neutral, or negative for that trade. True, I personally have not exactly traded using this site (I have traded via Digital Press, tradegamesnow.com, and eBay, however), but it is useful for all to know who to trade with. List away, folks...

Yes, I had to bring up an old thread. I'm here to leave positive feedback for the following traders on this site...

Sesshoumaru
Gaijin Punch

I can't exactly recall the details of the couple trades between myself and Sesshoumaru, but both went well and quickly. As for the trade with Gaijin Punch, I sent him $60 for his Eternal Arcadia Limited Box (Japanese DC). As soon as he got the money, he shipped out the box, and I got it this afternoon, in every bit the spectacular condition I hoped it would be in. Many thanks to both traders. God bless you both.

(BTW, Gaijin Punch, if ever you decide to get rid of some more big and fancy RPGs, send me word of it... :P )

Edit (062605 0353 EDT): Another plus feedback for Gaijin Punch, this time for a Final Fantasy VII for $7 shipped. At this rate, the import section of my shopping list will be cut in half by this time next year (it currently sits at 271 games)...

Will do. You know, I totally missed this thread when you made it. Well, sticky now. Thanks for the easy transaction. Even these days I get people that ask for something...then don't email back. o_O For the record, no posters here have ever been a bother. I got a couple of guys like that at DP, but I guess that's going to happen due to the size of the place. And yes, I've traded with Bighab... very prompt trader.

Hey, I'm new here, and I want to express gratitude to Gaijin Punch for a great deal!! Although it might sound redundant as this is his forum after all, nonetheless, it's a great guy to deal with! ^__^ Positive: Gaijin Punch

GP's like the most reasonable seller on the web. Props also to geelw2 for being a great seller.

Just edited my original post. You'll now notice feedback scores listed for each user who has had feedback left for them, positive, neutral, negative, or otherwise, in this thread or elsewhere in this forum.

The following was copied from a post I made at Digital Press.

OK... I've made two purchases from oceanfr. The first one went reasonable, except for the cheap packing (read: no bubble-wrap or other insulation) and the fact he used media mail shipping for 5 games. B for that transaction.

Now for the main reason why I posted...

The second one was pended in January. DC number says it arrived, but the mail around here was messed up. The post office would do nothing, and neither would he (i.e. applying a trade credit towards other items, giving a refund in part or whole, etc.). Not to mention the fact that although communication on both sides was rather poor, I at least messaged when I could (I was in the Army at the time, and ridiculously busy: actually pended the trade over my Christmas exodus). He failed to respond to several messages. The negative is left at TGN, as well as here. F for that one.

Basically, don't buy from him. The mail takes too long, the packing is done poorly, and that's if the package gets there.

Minus points for him.

Edit 110505 0025 EST: Resolution finally made, feedback withdrawn :) .

It sucks when stuff like that happens, I know from that experience, one with SaturnGaming (the one mentioned at the top of the thread with -2 feedback) and another one about a year ago. At least this time it was a matter of $25, and not significantly more, as it was with the other two ($67 and $100).

Yeah, oceanfr has poor communications (almost thought he was a scammer when I didn't receive my package for 2 weeks) although his deals aren't bad. He also has widely varying game conditions so make sure the conditions are what you want. It seems some of his games are poor condition secondhand stuff. He still seems fairly reliable though if he has a JP PS game you really want. SaturnGaming was pure shit. I had to get my CC company involved to get a refund. A complete pain in the ass.

So did you finally get your dough back on the whole SaturnGaming fiasco? A pain. I generally have a policy here of not banning people, if anyone is wondering why I've not done so. On the flipside, I have no qualms about making people feel unwelcome.

Yeah, I got my refund after a month of harassing Saturngaming/newyawkripper@hotmail.com, Paypal, and my CC company.

Since I didn't pay with a credit card (paid through regular Paypal balance), what is my recourse?

Unfortunately, there's probably nothing you can do since Paypal has no protection for this sort of thing and can't be bothered with pursuing the matter or extracting funds from his CC account.

This one's for Marigul. Bought a complete-in-box (manual had some damage) Breath of Fire (SFC) from him, $10 shipped. I paid upon the funds' availability; he shipped very quickly afterwards. The manual was in slightly less condition than I expected (I knew it was damaged beforehand, but not to that extent), but nonetheless, I am satisfied with the transaction. Plus points for him :) .

mb7241 - 1 yo mb, what gives?? it was back in feb 05 he said he has problems with his mail box broken or something, then 2 MONTH LATER later plus his lack of replys suck, (he mentions not to worry). .."The mail from about January 15 to about February 25 or so back home has been messed up somehow. Don't worry, I'll let you know " I've sent him the stuff with the DC# then he replies fukin 2 month later: "oceanfr ( 3 ) 03/21/05 09:10 PM please complete mb7241 ( 60 ) 05/14/05 02:09 PM Suspended I never received the games" insufficiency dude, your fault for checking his box late, then he finally says he got nothing.. You leave a complaint, ask tradegamesnow to expire the trade, then you disappear from TGN what more?? mb7241 ( 60 ) 09/19/05 07:36 PM Suspended "Please expire this trade request"... You really need to get your address fixed dude. Thus the time pass, I even also tried to help you afterwards as well, told you to call the post office and check your post! Tend to reconsider that -1 I've done lots of trade with other members and had no prob. I got all your tradegamesnow log saved, pics of reciept and package sent at post. Image
