Score Attack Guidelines

Postby Gaijin Punch » Wed Jun 06, 2007 3:41 am

As per requested.

Feel free to start a table on anything you want, assuming it's got some measurable type of scoring. Would prefer not to see "Super Mario 64 beaten in 38 seconds" types of threads. Old non-shooting arcade games and puzzle games would be great though.

Please use code tags to keep it clean.

Example:

Code: Select all

Gaijin Punch   1,000,000    ALL
Player B         999,999    Stage 8

Sucks b/c you have to manually align everything, but hey, it looks nice.

Cool, thanks for taking the time to set this up GP...

Perhaps we could use this thread to nominate games we'd like to play so as not to clog the forum up with empty score tables? :?

Sounds like a plan. Maybe something in Mame every month or quarter to test our skills. I would definitely say a non-shooting Arcade game, just b/c it's most likely been covered at shmups.

It's a great game. If you want to start a thread, just get it going. No real rules or regulations. I played it a bit not long ago. Great game, but I'm afraid I'm pretty awful at it.

it's weird, there basically seem to be some stages which are just anomolously difficult (7 and 14 for example - 7 is tough, then 8 is a cake-walk). but some stages are just a case of knowing 'putting a [colour] ball here causes a massive chain'.
