Yeah, they're both kind of a joke. Although Death Smiles with all rank 3 and the Canyon is tough as nails. Good fun, but it's driving me up the wall. Gotten to the last boss a few times, and choked really bad each time.

I beat Daifukkatsu on my second try. Probably should have done it my first, but I blame the jetlag. An easy game to clear if that's all you want to do, but man it's a rough, dense game if you dig into it.

Cleared all 4 modes of Star Trigon. A great feature of the PCB is a shared scoreboard for all 4 modes. :/

Well I ended up buying a new computer. On the bright side I can now make use of the Saturn emulators and see what the DS has to offer. There's a lot of games I'm sure I've one CCed in the past that I don't remember anymore. I really haven't done anything game related other than playing through the PSX Soul Hackers and doing all the extra stuff like the bonus and extra dungeons.

I'm hitting that part of my life as well... sucks, but is the way it goes. I try to squeeze time in now and again though. Maybe it's just a phase.

man these things happen, dont worry about it, just take a break for a while and do something else, youll find your way back eventually..

forcing it is not the answer tho..

Wife and kid went to her folks yesterday. As I have been hemoraging money lately, I've decided to stay in this weekend. Busted out V-V (fuck me that's hard), and am scanning posters while catching up on TV. Definitely chilling out -- I'm about to go invest in some alcohol!

I'm going to what should be a pretty slammin' party on New Year's Eve, then catching an 8AM flight to my in-laws on New Year's Day. Should be fun. :)

Super Contra.

Kinda hard due to some really stupid design "features" (foreground in the way, shit like that). Easy to blow it on the last stage, too.

You cleared it? I always hated the aiming lag in that one.

Yes, cleared the first loop. 1-missed the first loop, actually. Would've been nice to have been recording it. Did pretty good. And yes, there are some rather irksome things in it. Easy to die b/c you're waiting for bullets to go off screen. The laser sucks, as well.

Got Mr. Driller Arcade mode (1000m). I suck at the game, so was somewhat pleased.

anyone here an Outzone whiz ?

got up to 166% yesterday and i was just wondering how far the game goes?

watched the only vid i could find of it on nicovideo and the guy there gets every secret ship on his run (which sadly ends after about 50%) , how the hell does he do that? i always thought they were random..?

Japanese people have an input jack that we lack. 15-pin DSUB from the brain to the PCB for better scoring.

my days of being skilled ended at C64 times (well, perhaps not but i certainly did my 'better' gaming in that period)

to whit...still my proudest achievement :

Wizball - looped - full colours etc... no loss of life.

improved my Track n Field score to 500k plus. 7 loops.

got to say that between this and frogger, it made me furious at how crap some of the emulated games are.

I came unstuck on the seventh as i lost a life on the long jump, despite nailing 2 of the 3 at 45 degrees bang on the board and, naturally, the hammer which is the only real pain after loop 2. :/

Annoying as hell that what looks like perfectly bang on the board take offs are marked as fouls.

Frogger... jesus. Collission detection is horrific. The controller stops taking input once collission is flagged, but on some of the trucks on level 5 it looks like you are well clear but you still get splatted.
Beautiful Burnout

[DC] Heavy Metal Geomatrix (Duke)

B-I-T-C-H. I might make a recording, because I haven't seen anyone else attempt this on Youtube or Nico. Awesome game if you like Power Stone or Virtual On. I think it's better than both actually.

I've been meaning to try this out for ages. Is this game western developed? Fun stuff? It doesn't really pop up all that often over here to be honest.
