Metal Slug 7
1,108,250 - LaserGun - 3 - Fio

I guess you can do MS7 like that, LGB. Same for MS6, although I doubt anyone here is going to be playing that game lol

I'll probably have a better score at the end of the week, and I'll try to make it to stage 6 at least, it's just hard to get some consistency in MS7.

Sorry I slacked off with the other thread, I stopped checking the high score forums here because no one was posting for a while.

Someday I'll return to MSX but I doubt I'll be able to touch a 5,6m score in this lifetime.

*Looks at jpj's MS2 score of 2 million in stage 2*

Its impossible to get 2 million by stage 2. Am I missing something?

Maybe. In MS2 you can milk the missile launcher tank's missiles. In stage two the genies can give you a fuckload if you collect them a certain way

- Jump over to second dog head onto box
- Shoot up 9 times, then shoot up while jumping and moving left to avoid to uncovererd lamp
- Immediately shoot the box on the right
- Count the puffs of smoke coming out of the lamp. I believe after 4-5 puffs is when you should jump over and rake in the coin combos.

Even doing all the genie stuff, getting all POWS, Melee'ing every mummy, and doing all other misc stuff like the slug bonus at the end of the stage yields about 1.5 million.

If that guy ends stage 2 with 1.9 mill, and that's milking every section to the extreme, then that proves jpj's 2 million score not even clearing stage 2 is wrong.

Nothing against jpj I'm sure he just wrote down the score incorrectly, I was just going insane thinking it was possible to get that much score that early hahaha.
