Preferable japanese exclusives, but I open to every under the radar title.

Sadly there is not a Must Have Famicom thread here. :(

FC is one system I didn't fully explore. Perhaps if I ever get some time I'll try to play some of the funner games.

Wow the forums still alive :D .

Too bad GP because the Famicom has quite a charm as a machine with all its limitations.
But maybe someone else can chime in with recommendations.

I'm not looking for the Rockmans and Castlevanias here. It's more the 2nd and 3rd tier I'm interested in.

FWIW, when I ever get around to playing something (likely through emulation) the FC is a system I have largely ignored sans the big hits I played on the NES as a child.

I picked up a mint Faxanadu for around $50, so I'd recommend that, especially if you're fond of Cadash or Zelda II. Power Blazer (original version of Power Blade) isn't expensive from what I recall, unlike its sequel Captain Saver.

Yes. Faxanadu is great, although a bit brownish in it's color palette. Had it for ages on the NES already.

I need to get my hands on a Power Blazer then if it's really good.

And I thought the forum was dead.

I won me a Power Blazer on ebay and got myself a Layla, too. Now i´m hyped and in about 4 weeks I maybe had the chance to play those games.
